Cotenius Z is a female duet born in Moscow – Zoya Zerkalski and Lisokot – two talents of contrast found common ground by means of absurdist theatrical performances. Impersonating different characters through sound, each performance is moulded for the given environment, real or imaginary.
Using live improvisation and costume design as their methods of communicating with the audience, the duet draws inspiration from temporal socio-political narratives, site – specificity and historical heritage.
